Most announcements are held up by one thing: the picture. The design can be ready weeks ahead, with the name, date, time, weight and length dropped in at the last minute. Then the card goes to print the day the photo you love turns up.
Set it up that way and the hard part is choosing the photo. Everything else can be done before the baby arrives.
What goes on a birth announcement
The name
Full name in the largest type on the card. It is the line people read first.
The details
Date, time, weight and length. Grandparents will ask for all four.
A photo
One strong picture beats a collage at these sizes.
A line from you
A short note or a family name on the back if you print double sided.
Choosing the size and finish
Photos lead, so the size and paper should suit the picture.

Our design service is $50. Send the photo and the details, and we lay out the card for you to approve. With same-day production available, the whole job can be done from your phone.

Can the photo go on one side and the details on the other?
Yes. Choose double sided, with the photo on the front and the details on the back.
My photo came from a phone. Is that good enough?
Usually, if it is the original file rather than one sent through a messaging app, which shrinks it.
Do you print thank you cards too?
Yes. Thank you cards are a separate product, and matching them to the announcement is easy if you order both.
