Copy or poster?
11" x 17" color copies are the quick, low-cost choice for something short-lived: this month's event, this week's specials, a one-off meeting. When a poster needs to be bigger or last longer, use posters, which go up in size and are printed for display.

Setting up the file
Build the artwork at 11" x 17" so nothing has to be stretched. Photos need more pixels at this size than they do on a letter page, so use the original image rather than one saved from a website or email.

Questions we get asked
Can I fold it to letter size?
Folded in half, an 11" x 17" sheet is letter size. 24 lb or 32 lb folds cleanly; the card weights are better left flat.
What about black and white at this size?
11 x 17 black and white copies cost less for drawings and markup sets.
How do I stop a poster curling on the wall?
Choose 65 lb or 100 lb card. The paper weights will curl at the edges over time.
