Legal 8.5x14 Black & White Copies (Black & White Printing)

What would you like to do?
Legal-Size Black and White Copies, 8.5" x 14"
For the documents that need the extra three inches. Printed on 20 lb or 24 lb paper, single or double sided, from one copy to a thousand.
Who still needs legal size
Fewer people than used to, but the ones who do need it exactly. Some contracts, leases, closing documents and older standard forms are laid out at 8.5" x 14", and they have to come back at that size to look right and file properly.
Around North Dallas that mostly means property managers, real estate and title work, law and accounting offices, and HOAs sending out documents for signature.
Check the page size before you order
The most common legal-size mistake is a file that was really made at letter size. Printed on a 14" sheet it either leaves three blank inches at the bottom or gets stretched to fill them.
Open the PDF, look at the document properties, and make sure the page size reads 8.5 x 14 in. If it says 8.5 x 11, you want letter-size copies instead.
Two papers, chosen for paperwork
Legal sheets are mostly read, signed and filed, so the choice here is simple.
| Paper | What it is for |
|---|---|
| 20 lb, Cheapest | Standard bond. Reference copies, drafts, documents headed for a file box |
| 24 lb, Budget | Heavier and more opaque. The better choice for double-sided documents and signature pages |
Practical notes
Legal-size pages need legal-size folders and file boxes. A letter folder will leave the bottom of every page sticking out, which is worth mentioning to whoever receives them.
The calculator prints one size per order. If a packet mixes letter and legal pages, place two orders or email us the file and we will quote it as one job.

Questions we get asked
Can I get legal size on card stock?
Not through this page, which offers the two paper weights above. Email us with what you need and we will tell you what is possible.
Should a contract be double sided?
That is up to you and the other party. Some people prefer single-sided signature pages so nothing is missed. 24 lb is the better paper either way.
Do you need the original, or is a PDF fine?
A PDF is all we need. Scan at the full page size so nothing gets cropped.
Have a legal-size document to copy?
Upload the PDF, confirm it is 8.5" x 14", and choose your paper.
