Presentation Folders (Forms and Stationary)
Presentation Folder Printing
9" x 12" folders on real stock — linen, felt, coated and uncoated — with foil and embossing available. From 250. Produced for North Dallas businesses.
This is a different kind of order
Most things on this site are digital, short-run and available the same week. Presentation folders are not. They start at 250, they are printed with offset-style color options rather than a single digital press setting, and they carry finishing — foil, embossing — that genuinely changes how the piece feels in a hand.
That makes them a considered purchase rather than a quick reorder. It also makes them one of the few things you can still hand someone that feels expensive, which is the entire point when the folder is holding a proposal worth a great deal more than the folder.
What it costs, honestly
250 folders, 9" x 12", base stock. The printing choice is most of the price.
| Outside printing | 250 folders | Each |
|---|---|---|
| Blank — no printing | $198.00 | $0.79 |
| Printed 1 color, 1 side | $893.25 | $3.57 |
| 4-color process, 1 side | $1,204.31 | $4.82 |
Two things worth drawing out of that table.
Blank folders are a genuine option. At under a dollar each, a blank folder in a good stock — black linen, say — with a printed label or a business card slotted in can look better than a cheaply printed one. Plenty of firms do exactly this.
One color goes a long way. The jump from blank to printed is the real cost; the jump from one color to four is comparatively small. If your identity works in a single color on a good stock, one-color on linen looks considerably more expensive than four-color on the base stock.
The stock is the product
More than on anything else we print, the paper choice here is what the recipient actually registers — before they read a word.
| Uncoated smooth, 80# and 100# | Clean and matte, takes a pen, and the safest choice when the folder carries a lot of printed detail. The 100# is noticeably more substantial. |
|---|---|
| Semi gloss C1S — 12pt, 14pt, 16pt | Coated one side. Color sits up and photographs well. The point sizes are thickness: 16pt is a stiff, confident folder; 12pt is lighter and cheaper. |
| White matte and gloss C2S, 100# | Coated both sides. Use when the inside will be printed too. |
| Linen — white or black, 80# | A woven texture you feel before you look. Black linen with foil is the classic premium combination and it is hard to beat for a proposal. |
| Granite felt, 80# | A softer, flecked texture. Reads as considered and slightly less corporate than linen — architecture, design, education, nonprofit. |
Foil and embossing
Both are available in one or two applications, each up to 24 square inches.
Foil is metallic and catches light. On a dark uncoated stock it is the single most effective thing you can do to a folder. On a white coated stock it competes with the print and does less.
Embossing raises the stock itself. It is felt rather than seen, which makes it the quieter option — a blind emboss of a logo on linen is understated in a way printing cannot be.
Both work best on one element, usually the logo, at a decent size. Twenty-four square inches is more than it sounds — roughly a 4" x 6" area. Scattering foil across several small elements spends the budget and reads as fussy.

Questions we get asked
Because of how these are made. There is die cutting and setup involved that does not scale down — fifty folders would cost nearly what 250 do. If you genuinely need a handful, talk to us about alternatives rather than ordering 250 you will not use.
Longer than our digital products, and longer again with foil or embossing because a die has to be made. Tell us your date at the outset. This is not a product to remember the week before a pitch.
Tell us what you need in the pockets. Card slits and other pocket details are a normal request and worth raising before we set the artwork rather than after.
Less than you think. A logo, and possibly nothing else. The folder's job is to look like something worth opening — the detail is on the paper inside it. Crowded folders look like brochures.
